We are here to help make your wedding day planning go smoothly! On this page you will find preferred vendors, wedding day inspo, access to all of your files through the client portal, and much more!
I always suggest to coordinate your colors. You DON'T want to be too matchy-matchy, but you DO want to have a color palette going on. Stay away from anything neon! Neon will throw some crazy coloring on your skin that you don't want. I recommend pastels to give the photos that "soft" feel. If you feel like you don't have any outfits you want to wear, TREAT YO SELF!
Yeah, that's right. The men will love me for this one. You can bring multiple outfits! I think every session should have a casual and a dressy outfit choice. Causal will show off your personality, whereas dressy should be something you would wear out on a nice date night. I love this idea because it brings multiple looks to your gallery.
Accessories and layers just photograph really well! Accessories bring a pop of color whereas layers can bring a slimming, yet flowing effect to the photo. Keep the weather in mind when wearing multiple layers. *Tip - if you tend to sweat a lot, wear an undershirt! This will help catch a lot of the sweat.
We get asked a lot by our couples if they can bring their dog. Please feel free to bring your furry friend along! Jordan and I are crazy animal people and would love to meet and incorporate your four-legged friend into your session. But we can't make promises that we won't take them home after the session.
Your outfits should match your personality, but showcase the best version of yourself so that you'll be proud and excited to show everyone these photos for years to come. Putting together these outfits should be fun and not stress you out. Please contact me if you're needing help on making the perfect choice, I'd love to help you!
Most brides love to showcase a few of their favorite bridal portraits at their reception area on the wedding day (after the ceremony of course!) In order for us to get your images back on time for editing and printing purposes, we need to schedule AT LEAST a month in advance of your big day.
This is one of the most important choices to make regarding your bridal photos. Most venues allow their brides to take their bridal photos at the venue for no additional charge. I like this choice best because it flows well with the venue when showcasing the bridal portraits at the reception area the day of the wedding. But if you prefer a different location, I have many locations to choose from!
To complete your wedding day look, you should bring your bouquet along! You can contact your florist for a bridal session bouquet and they can throw one together that will resemble your wedding day bouquet. Or if you're feeling creative and have experience with floral design, you can throw one together yourself!
Take this opportunity to have a trial run with your hair and makeup vendor. This will help you to decide your final wedding day look and figure out if there are any changes you'd like to make while also figuring out how long it will take for you to get ready. Be sure to contact your hair and makeup team asap as they book up quickly!
Jordan and I are pro dress fluffers, but sometimes it's nice to have Mom, Sister, or a friend come along and help out with holding items that are not being photographed at that moment. Or even someone to hold water for you. Plus, if you have a veil, having an extra pair of hands is always nice to help get those dreamy under the veil shots!
When you look and feel like Beyonce, it's kind of hard not to have fun! You get to be our model for an hour and keep in mind that you don't have to be a pro. Jordan and I are there to make you feel like a hundred bucks with our poses and positioning. Just remember to be yourself and have fun!
First of all, I just want to say that we totally respect the fact to go traditional and not have a first look, but we wanted to list a few reason why we love them! So, what's a first look anyway? A first look is when you get to see your future spouse in a private setting for the first time on the wedding day.
The wedding day goes by so fast that a lot of people forget to stop and enjoy the little moments happening around them. A first look gives our couples more time together and ALONE before all of the other events that will take place that day.
First looks are such a build up of excitement and that produces such beautiful images! Your expressions are unique yet pure to the moment. With first looks, we are able to knock out your portraits before the ceremony and that means more time for you to go and party after you say your I do's.
She wants to do a first look and he would rather the day be traditional. Can't make up your mind? We found a compromise! A no-look first look is when he either keeps his eyes shut or is blindfolded during the first look and you still are able to have that intimate moment together before the ceremony without breaking tradition.
Regardless of having a first look or not, you will get the beautiful photos that you want from your big day! First looks seem to be taking over the wedding world, but we have a lot of respect for the traditional route and will always find a way to make your day go as smoothly as possible.
